I’ve decided, during this month of October 2025, to remove my music from streaming platforms.
It will remain available on Bandcamp, where you can stream everything and even download the files for whatever price you choose.

You can download the Bandcamp app and type “Elvy Jean” — you’ll see how simple and clear it is.
Or you can go directly to the website:

I’m well aware that making my music a little less accessible may distance me from some listeners.
There was a time when being as widely available as possible made sense, but I’ve realized that without professional support, it doesn’t really lead very far.

Streaming platforms haven’t evolved in a virtuous way, and the share given to artists remains questionable — not to mention the arbitrary creation of “suggested” playlists and the rise of music made entirely by AI.

It’s becoming more meaningful to stand apart rather than be everywhere, especially when you pour your soul into your music — as I do.

Bring me back home (2024)

Originally there was an album called "Defiance" with only very lo-fi guitar/voice recordings.

Some songs deserved a better outlet, so there came this little homemade album.

Sergei Volkov : cover painting
Lyrics for "After all these years" by Doug Alford

Ad astra (per alas porci) (2023)

Rework on old songs to fix them in the better way possible.

"Pigasus" is a pun used by John Steinbeck writing alongside the latin motto : "to the stars on the wings of a pig"

"Don't shake me, I'm full of tears" comes from the last words Henri Calet wrote before he died :

"It's on my heart's skin that you'll find wrinkles. Is it already time to leave each other? Don't shake me, I'm full of tears"

Racquel Morgan : cover painting

Iowa (2023)

In 2018, Elvy Jean met Arnaud Ghilain, multi-instrumentalist and sound engineer, with whom he collaborated for more professional recordings of his guitar/piano/voice material. Arnaud added bass (or double bass) and some synths. These episodic recordings led in 2022 to enough songs to make up an album. Arnaud shared the mixing process with a close friend from Quebec, Dominique Massicotte. The Australian Cefe Flynn mastered the album.

Other participants chimed in, such as the actress Christelle Cornil on backing vocals and Hendrik van Wagensveld on the piano for the title « Solitude ».
